The fourth Call for proposals on international collaborative projects addressing COVID-19 published by MOST
The Chinese Ministry for Science and Technology (MOST) published its fourth call for proposals to fund international collaborative projects addressing COVID-19. For the first time, the participation of non-Chinese entities based outside of China mainland is allowed, and, even more, constitutes a requirement for project proposals to be eligible for funding. Foreign participants will not be financially supported by MOST and will have to come with their own funding to cover the cost of their participation in the project, with the exception of the purchase of some equipment not available in China.
A maximum of 37 projects covering 11 tasks in the areas of drugs, vaccines, test reagents and TCM can be funded. The total national budget to be allocated to this call is RMB 100 million. The project duration should not exceed two years.
Applicant entities are requested to submit online proposals via the National S&T Information System (http://service.most.gov.cn). The online submission will remain open until 31 August 2020 16:00.
