FFG signs agreement with GDST

Successful start of a new Sino-Austrian research cooperation

9 December 2016 – The Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) and the Guangdong Science and Technology Department (GDST) signed their first bilateral agreement in Dongguan today. The two partners agreed to conduct three joint calls for bilateral research projects on the topic of “Smart Cities” in the coming years. FFG is the national funding agency for industrial research and development in Austria. GDST is in charge of bilateral and multilateral S&T cooperation with governments and international organizations. Dr. Emmanuel Glenck, Robert Schwertner (both FFG), Alexander Unkart (BMVIT) and Max Pfeiler (OSTA) came together with director of GDST, Dr. Huang Ningsheng, and further representatives of GDST for the signing ceremony.

Details of the first joint call will be published in 2017.
