Exchange on cooperation possibilities between both universities

22 November 2019 – The Head of Department and Studies, Management Center Innsbruck (MCI), Prof. Dr. Peter J. Mirski, and the Head of Research & Development, Management Center Innsbruck (MCI), Prof. Dr. Michael Kraxner visited the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) accompanied by the Science and Technology Section of the Austrian Embassy Beijing (OSTA Peking). They were warmly welcomed by the Dean of UIBE-Research-Academy Chengdu, Executive Director of the Austrian Cultural Center of the UIBE, Prof. FENG Xiaohu and Ms. XIANG Jie, Deputy Director of International Relations.

After briefings by the two universities, the possibilities of cooperation, especially in the area of student exchange were discussed. Both sides expressed great interest in cooperating at University level and identified the contact persons from both sides for further discussion of the next steps.

Prof. FENG also referred to the Beijing Humboldt Forum, which was hosted by the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) and The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (AvH) and co-organized by organizations including the Austrian Embassy Beijing and the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria (FH OOE) and cordially invited the MCI to attend the next Forum 2020. Prof. FENG will visit Vienna in January 2020. Taking this opportunity he will visit the MCI to have further exchanges on the cooperation matters.
