A promotional private initiative where adventure meets technology

Mr. Philipe Reinisch, Co-founder of the Austrian Internet of Things Network and initiator of the Project “Silk Road 4.0” was invited by Philipp Agathonos, Minister Plenipotentiary and Director of the Science and Technology Section of the Austrian Embassy Beijing (OSTA) and Mr Emanuel Lehner-Telic, Asia regional manager of Austrian Tourism on October 12th to the residence of The Austrian Embassy in Beijing to report from his travel on a motorcycle along the Silk Road from Vienna to China as part of his Silk Road 4.0 Project.
With Silkroad 4.0, Philipe Reinisch carried out a 10,000-kilometre journey by motorbike along the Silk Road from Austria to China during the summer months of 2018. The tour started in April 2018 in Vienna. In the summer of 2017, a pre-tour took place in Europe, where he traveled 6000 kilometer through 15 European countries in two months. The mission of the project Silk Road 4.0 was to “bring technology from all over Europe, give it a stage and show what is already possible” and to show when and where the latest technology is already being featured.
The impressing presentation was followed by a lively discussion and exchange of views. Mr Reinisch also gave an extensive Interview to Guangming Daily.
