OSTA attends StartmeupHK Festival in the presence of former Federal Minister for Science, Research and Economy

01 February 2018 OSTA took part at the StartmeupHK Festival 2018 in Hongkong. Austria actively contributed by the startup “Pitch and Share Event” to the festival and was represented by a prominent guest, Mr. Harald Mahrer, former Federal Minister for Science, Research and Economy. That Event was hosted by Advantage Austria in cooperation with the Austrian Global Incubator Network (GIN).

Five days, six different verticals and a major venue for Asia’s startup ecosystem: The StartmeupHK Festival 2018 brought together startups, seasoned entrepreneurs, investors, industry leaders, incubators and tech-innovators from all around the world.

Austrian companies participated to the flagship conference Venture Forum, exchanged latest FinTech innovations at the FinTech Finals and pitched at the HealthTech Summit.

First HRH Salon was held in Beijing

25 October 2016 – At the invitation of the Health Human Resources Development Center (HHRDC), HHRDC together with representatives of eight embassies – Austria, Canada, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Switzerland, UK and US – came together to launch the first Human Resources for Health Salon (HRH Salon). The HRH Salon is an informal information platform in the area of health cooperation. The representatives were warmly welcomed by Dr. Zhang Junhua, deputy director general of HHRDC. HHRDC, founded in 1998 as a public institution under the National Health and Family Planning Commission of China (NHFPC), is responsible for health professional evaluation, healthcare leadership and professional training, social services for the human resources for health and international cooperation. Within the international cooperation, HHRDC has established professional training programs with twenty countries, such as a three weeks training program for Chinese health professionals in Austria. The HRH Salon is open to welcome further members in the future.
